Replacing fuel filter

Simple question: I have an 85 GSL-SE, do I need to relieve fuel pressure before I take off the fuel filter? On most cars with FI you need to take out the fuse for the fuel pump and turn the engine over (not literally) a few times or you'll get a face full of gas when you disconnect the lines. The manual doesn't mention anything about it though.

Last one I did, I just cracked the line and let it run out. But The fuse and letting it run dry will work also.

Last one I did, I was prepared for gas but got nothing since I ran the tank empty. long story...towing required...\

Disconnecting the pump and then letting it run dry (several minutes, not just turning it over), should drain the lines to avoid spilling. Like hades12 says.
