What brand and model spark plug do you guys think would work well for my 85 GSL. Its driven mostly "normal", but every now and then it definatly goes . I was just asking because my -SE had the plugs replaced, and now it runs kinda rough and I was thinking maybe it was because of the "wrong" plugs in it (cold instead of hot?). I just need to know what kind of plugs would be decent for "average driving" so I can go buy 8 or so and put them in my GSL, and the -SE. Thanks

Those are all for a normal stock or streetport with the factory spark setup. When and if you go to DFLDIS or whatever he calls it (sorry J20...) or MSD direct fire, puaka gave us some alternative plugs that have been street-tested to 15000 miles and are cheaper than the BRE/BRQ/BRU stuff. They're NGK's out of the V-Power product line....R5400(8 or 9 depending on if your need for a hotter or colder plug.) BBBUUUTTTT they need to have the ground straps side-cut to these gaps so they don't contact the apex seals inside the engine. Puaka runs these gaps and says it kicks ***. Leading plugs ---> 0.085 Trailing ---> 0.055 These plugs and mods won't work with the factory set-up very well, he warned. These are for the direct-fire crowd.

I run series 4 plugs on my SE and it has runs very nice since the change. i believe Ive got 7 for leading and 9 for trailing.
