soon to be one less FB in the world

I can't believe the lowballers out there. I mean, you tell people your situation, you tell them you are only getting rid of the car because you desperately need something with better gas milage for a long trip. And somone offers you 100 dollars for the car, IF you deliver it. WTF is that? Then someone offers to trade you for their PS2?????
I just don't get it. I mean, its one thing to offer someone less than what they ask, thats fine, I understand that, Hell, I'll even do that myself, but to offer 100 dollars or so for a RUNNING , drivable car. That is so insulting. I'm sorry for bitching but it really bothers me, enough that if it happens again I'm either going to put a boinger engine in it, or I'm going to crush it. AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGH

lol, I know carl, I'm a cheap bastard too, but at least you offered advice instead of video games :P
I guess autotrader or local ads is next. I was just trying to offer it to people on here so it would go somewhere where it would be appreciated

Where are you at in ohio? You have any pics of the car? How about some info on it as well? Mileage, condition, etc. Thanks.

I'm good for $51.00 if you bring it to virginia beach. Really not that far if you zoom out in mapquest.

here are some pics https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/85gsl-gotta-go-but-how-much-do-i-ask-353234/ dont worry, the dragon is vinyl and a little bit of time with a blow dryer and it will come off.
the car is in hicksville oh 43526 not far from auburn indiana and fort wayne in indiana, not far from defiance ohio.
its an 85gsl, the engine itself was a factory rebuild that now has about 30K on it. RB header and streetport exhaust, RB suspension package, RB intake, used to have a holley but it went to hell and in m ay I put on a brand new edelbrock 500 performer and holley fuel pressure regulator. Msw mesh wheels (painted silver). The fuel gauge doesnt work, but I have another tank and sending unit. The wipers work most of the time but I have no idea why some times they dont. The car is solid, paint job isnt the greatest. There is some rust underneath but the bin rust has been cut out and new metal welded in. This car runs Great. Doesnt go through any coolant or oil. No omp, I premix with MMO. It will need tires before too long, and it needs brake pads REALLY soon, they are quite thin.
Theres also an 84 gs shell. you can have both cars, or the running car and whatever parts from the parts car you want. LOTS of parts left from the 84 shell that are already pulled off, including engine with compression on only one rotor, and manual transmission. The parts car has the aluminum 'plus' style wheels. extras include an ok hood and fenders, good bumpers, nose piece, head light doors including motors, an ok door, good door glass, lots of little tid bits. If I can get this thing out of here by the end of the month, I'll let it all go for 1000 or trade for something with better gas mileage, and NO not a moped, I need somethign that will be economical for a few trips to Kansas City , Missouri

Dude... if the car from that link is your car... BARE MINIMUM $1500! I mean just for the suspension you'd be paying a huge chunk of that... not to mention the intake, and the fact that you paid for a paint job (no matter how "not so good" you say it is).... that's all money.

I would never low ball that low... I might go and *try* to offer $1000 if you were super desperate, because I'm a poor bugger, but I want to see it go to a good home so I'd offer.

Damn.. a PS2? They could have at least offered you a Gaming PC!

If it helps any I sold my 85 GS for $950 and it was in great shape (almost zero rust) with 212k on it. Sold it in about a week so I could have probably gotten 1250-1500 but to me it wasn't worth the hassle of dealing with all the people.

Good luck, hope you get what you want.

well, truth be told, I dont have much money into the paint job, I sprayed it with a generic spray gun in my back yard :[
I did cut out some rust and weld in some metal though, hehe, that should count for something, LOL
so far noone has even come to look at it
