Son of a...
So somebody *** ended me about an hour ago...I was in the turning lane in front of a Wendy's and I guess the woman tried to make a quick left turn into it and rammed into the back of my just washed 7. At least I think that's what happened...all I recall is that my head was slammed into the head rest, the cigarette I was smoking was burning a hole into some paper, and my glasses were somewhere on the floor. Judging from the pain in my head I thought my car would be totalled but she just bashed up my bumper and cracked the left taillight. Hopefully I can get it fixed without her insurance company raping me in the ***. Well, just thought I'd share my story.

yeah, hope you're ok
A couple days ago, one happened RIGHT in front of me in the opposite lane on the way back from work. 3 cars plowed into each other, waiting for the first car to make the turn. I was lucky they didn't careen into my lane, but some pieces of plastic shot off the car and I rolled over them or something. idk, it was pretty intense though. I was quaking the entire ride home. It was close.
scary stuff

I think I'm okay...my head hurts like a bitch though. If her insurance will pay for it I think I might scoot on over to the hospital just to make sure. I was light headed at the time but I figured it was nerves but I still feel kinda funny. I'm just glad she was driving an Accord and not some huge SUV...probably would've just rolled over me if she had. Funny thing is, I was just arguing with my wife about getting a safer vehicle as a daily driver but she said as long as I'm careful I should be fine. I guess I just won that argument. And I'll quit smoking when I get my 7 all cleaned up. As it is the past owner left a couple of hole himself. And I don't have a digital camera so no pictures. But anyway, I'm getting ready to call her insurance company...anyone have any advice? I'm worried they won't give me any money seeing as it's twenty years old.

20 years old = classic. Stick to that, and they will have no choice but settle. Add in that it was clearly her fault, and you were hurt, they'll likely be happy to pay for the damage to be repaired.

Eh, I'm not really the suing kind. I didn't even want to get the cops involve since it was really just little a fender bender. But if the insurance company wants to say some crap about my car being old and inexpensive I'll raise some hell. And are 7's really considered classic? Whenever I think 'classic' the next thought is normally 'costs an arm and a leg'. I mean, it's classic in my books but is there some sort of commitee that meets and decides this kind of stuff?

I think in North Carolina, the car has to be 25 years old to be considered a classic. Then I think it's 30 years or so to fall into the antique catagory. Our state also has a 30 year rule about safety inspections. Over 30, and you don't have to get it inspected. But anyway, if you take any car to a "repair shop", your looking at a grand if there is any paint and body work. Go to the doctor. These insurance companys in this state won't even worry about your car getting fixed. If you are injured, then they want to be your buddy. Soory about the accident, but be happy that it wasn't worse.
