Exclamation somthings not right?? need help

so its about 32*f today pretty cold for SC and i went out to drive my car and it was fine pretty much all day untill i got on a main road speed limit is 50 so im doing 55-60 and then my car seems as if it is losing compression...it is at about 4-5k rpms and then just starts slowly droping no matter how much juice i give it falls so i go to 4th then 3rd and it wont go at all... i pull of rev it up its fine get back on the road and once i hit 40mph it dosnt it again... that last owner said it did this to her about once a week but it would then cut off she would let it sit then go again adn it would be fine.. so this time i turned it off got back on teh road and still does it........whats the beef ??

I live in GA & my RX7s only cut up when it was raining. Cold only mattered if the battery was weak. May be you are tuned too lean??? Running lean can fry a rotary. I'd have it checked.

I'm willing to bet it's the fuel filter if it bucks like you described. My brother's Suzuki Samurai (strictly off-roading beast) did that and we couldn't figure it out, thinking it was an electrical problem. Took off the fuel filter and ran without it for a couple minutes (back to camp), ran perfectly.

Vapor Lock. My 85 12A did that yesterday. Came from a warmer place (garage) to the cold air 19 degrees. Ran fine until I got on the interstate and got to 50+ MPH. Then it started bucking like it was not getting enough fuel. Drove it back home, let it sit for a while. Started it up and drove it to work, no problems.

happened to my car a while back, 'cept it was a honda, it was the.... *thinks*.... accelerator pump inside the carb that was pooched, i had to replace the carb and it ran like a dream, so chances are you need a new carb.... but then again, i'm no mechanic....
