You can make it as long as you like, just cut a stock shifter and lengthen it. The hardest part of this project is the plate with the pin in it to support the upper ball which will be the same thickness as the length you add between the 2 *****. I would say that is somewhere close to or twice the stock length.

If you can make a kit that looks exactly or damn close to the one above and sell them for 115 like you said you will be very busy.

i wouldnt be able to do all of that stuff, but maybe the shifter and the circular thing to support the pivot ball.

EDIT: your right, i know i went to school for something. the sadi the shift is changed from 6 in to 3.5, so they are doubling the length between the *****.lol.hhhmmm, now that doesnt seem so right, maybe im to tired, some one help

you could rig up your stock one, you cut in between the two spheres, and weld in an extension, but then you need a spacer to put underneath the big all, and a sleev that extends upwards from the hle in the transmission, so the shifter stays in place. you can see a nylon ring around the bottom of the shifter, that is the spacer, and the circular peice with a notch in the middle is the "sleeve"
