13b Problams HELP!

13b Problams HELP!

Hello i just bought a RX-7 GSL-SE 1985 with the 13b engine in it it has 140k miles the problam is it wont run right at higher RPMS about 5.5k the engine cuts out or if you romp on it too hard it will cut out and die also i have an idle problam but i know thats the TPS im in the dark on this one i think it might be a fule pump but who the hell knows with these wankels any clues?

all three catts are gutted muffeler is in good condition
backfires like a mother all the time while backing off of higher rpms little low end power my car is slower than hell and i know it should be faster plz help

No expert here but it does sound like a fuel pump problem.
