ON Somebody help me my car won't start

I jus t bought an 85 rx7 gsl. had no trouble driving it 70 km's back into town from the sellers place, parked it for a few days till i transfered registration and what not. i got it on the road last friday and it seemed great, running a lil rough but what to expect from a rotary being parked for 6 mos in a field. anyways, i was driving on sunday and i hit a bump and everything died. seems to me like the fuel pump is cooked but i dont know much about these cars. Somebody please be my hero

Need more details....
Once you hit the bump did everything quit? Like a loose battery terminal?
If you squirt starter fluid in the carb will it start....then die? Might be fuel starvation?
Do you have a FSM? Have you checked your fuel pump, per said FSM?
Need more info

battery terminal is ok and yes it does start if i put some starter spray in the carb. i checked the fuel pump by removing the fuel line immediatley after the pump and its barely drippping. do 85's have a regulator somewhere?

TX Try this.

Sitting for a while etc. etc. Sounds like fuel too. Replace your fuel filter. Start there, fuel filter. Then check for obstructions and stuck parts in the carb... (lightly whack the top of it with a rubber hammer...)
