some people are so dumb

I would have posted this a few days ago but the forum was down. On wednesday I was at the gas station (where i work) hangin with the guys cause one of the guys had food for all the employees as an early thanksgiving thing. One of the mechanics tells me his friend has a 85 rx7 and is coming. So I'm like cool, another FB. I ask see the guy pull in. Its a broke *** series 3 with a poorly installed Mariah widebody kit and 15x7 enkeis on it. So I walk over to him, introduce myself and check out the car and ask him a few things about it. Instantly I know this guy doens't know ****. He tells me its a "ultra rare 85 with the factory body kit on it"; his words. So I'm like riiiiiight. I try to correct him but he won't listen. Whatever i really don't care if he knows it or not. I ask him what else has been done to it, he tells me he did the exhaust. He goes on to tell me that hes got a RB mid pipe and a flowmaster muffler. I'm like WTF? a ******* flowmaster on a rotary. So now I'm like this dude really has no idea whats hes doing. He goes on to say some more stupid **** but after hearing what i had heard I just ignored him and looked at the car. Man, some people are so ******* stupid. oh well, i know theres really no point to this post, just thought I'd share.

82transam, when he wipes out the car (which he will) buy it from him for $50 and make some money and spread out some more good parts back to the community.

Yeah, 82transam- Don't you know an opportunity when you see one? Now go make "nice-nice" to that feller. When he starts to have problems, you'll be the first one he calls. Then you just tell him his engine took "the big ****" on him, and that he'll be lucky to get 100 bucks for the rest of her since he messed up the body so damn bad!

C'mon, 82! Get them bones fer us!

Ya, it increases HP big time (wink, wink)

As far as I know, all it is , is just a resistor that you solder in line with the air temp sensor, It's susposed to "trick" the computer into thinking the engine is getting colder air than it is, thus putting more fuel into the engine. 20HP? NO, just a confused computer.

Hey newbie, if you have an idea for your Rx-7, it's a great idea to run it by the guys on the forum. As you've seen they're real helpful.

hehe, damn right I'll grab it cheap. I alreay am being his "friend" I installed a head unit for him. I made sure to do a real hack job, but it works. Actually If I could get that car cheap it would be a perfect project. The rear half of teh body kit was installed halfway decent, its teh front which is messed up big time. oh and the interior is shot. Perfect race project

You meet these idiots all the time: they think they know everything, and don't know anything... I really like to help people out, and I need help on some subjects myself often enough. It's just that I cannot stand guys who want to prove how smart they are, and actually they're so stupid...

damn right. I know quite a bit but don't pretend to know it all. The fact that he thought a flowmaster muffler on a 12a was a good idea proves he knew zilch.

"This performance chip/intake sensor mod tells your ECU that the air coming in through the intake thus advances the timing, therefore letting the engine produce up to 20 HORSEPOWER!. Releasing the extreme HORSEPOWER of your engine!"

Wow! Will it really let my engine produce up to 20 HP!?

LOL, nice. The guy that owned the first 7 i looked at last may was the same way. You should definitely try to get him to sell it to you. Add a third crappily running (or non-running) 1st gen to you collection!

Are you sure it was a Mariah kit and not one of the race fiberglass kits produced by Mazda (E-prod, Mark 1)?

It's easier to just identify the Mariah. If it's not a Mariah then there's a pretty good chance it's a Mazda kit. Look for the Mariah trademark front bumper like in this photo.

Well no, but then again, some car might be driving around with one right rear Mariah flare, a left rear SDJ Motorsports flare, two front Mazda flares, and some custom air dam. I'm thinking it might have actually been a "factory" racing body kit; cause the guy who the kid bought the car from prolly told him what it was.
