some firstgen questions.

oil pressure gauge. only moves when im on the throttle, what you think is up with that?

radiator, top hose had alot of pressure in it when i first shut down my car, i released it with my radiator cap. any idea why it was like that?

i have some oil above my oil pan and a little behind the first section of the engine. what could be the cause of this?

keep in mind, i have no airpump and i removed all my A/C bullshit earlyer

Oil pressure. Does it register pressure at idle?
Pressure. Is the engine overheating?
Oil leak. Could be dowel pin leak. Recommend clean engine and check exact spot of leak.

Are you using the stock oil pressure gauge? What pressure does it go to at WOT?

The cooling system is supposed to be pressurized when the engine is warm. Is that what you mean?

The stock oil pressure gauges are horrible. I've never seen one that worked well. Mine isn't even hooked up anymore.

They are described as laggy...... It's supposed to read a bit above 60.

Clean and check the electrical connector at the sending located on the engine block for the oil pressure gauge.

My factory oil pressure gauge reads anywhere from 0-30 at idle, and 0-60 under acceleration. The manual guage, on the other hand, never drops lower than 40 at idle, and gets well into 70's under acceleration. I've seen 75psi on the manual guage, and 0 on the stock, at the same time........
Moral of the story, the stock guage is iffy, at best. Downright junk at worst.
