What? You make no sense. The only reason that I am selling one of my 7's is to fix up my house. That's so I can get a better house later.

I know huh, that pisses me off. My Dad and I pass people all the time and wave and they're like "wtf?"...Its just cool to see a fellow person with a minority vehicle I guess. Like when we are on our motorcycles, we always wave, and they wave back. Its just kinda cool. Back on topic though, Im with Mike, I like anyone that has an RX-7 and/or even knows about them. I always get a good feeling when I tell someone what my car is and they know what kind of engine it has, or they remember when they came out. Its just nice to talk to people who know something . As far as specific people, Id have to say Mike-P-28 also. Ive talked to him im PM's a few times and hes always been helpful and courteous. Also, Error402. I sold him some parts a while ago, and he was always nice and friendly when it came to emailing eachother. The funny part was, he found my ad on ThePartsTrader, and neither of us knew we were both on the forum until he stumbled upon my post selling the same parts he just bought . Other than that, I havent really had much interraction with anyone else, other than just common chat and Q/A on the forum, but those two people are the ones that pop into my mind .

~T.J.

Re-Edit: I dont want to mention any names other than people Ive had "personal" interaction with. Not just "on the forum" stuff, Id feel bad if I left anyone out, y'all are alright to me .

I hate that. I always pass by rx-7s, if I'm going slow or whatever i usually do some kind of aknowledgement. But nothing back, always dumb stares back in my direction.

Oh yeah, Props out to Guru. He's the one that made my car feel like it's alive again!!!! 100km/h feels like 50!!!

This happens with miatas. My mom had that I was always taking out before I got my 7. Everybody in anouther miata would wave.

Shows how popular mazdas are.

Re: So Who's your RX-7 pimp Daddy?

Going to make me blush! Get them headlight kits done and you can be my Pimp Daddy
And seeing you on the east coast and west coast just goes to show how us crazy rotorheads are.

Mine would be those who are putting 13B turbos into thier 7's the long, long, long times without thier 7 to drive. the trial and error, giving good tips as they go so we can learn.

and to AJC13B who had been there done that, and has the baddest 7 on earth

You guys are making me blush dammit!!

Thanks

I got respect for all you guys! We got it made down here for rotors, anywhere else is all 3rd gen stuff!!

Easiest way to do it is custom. Do it once, do it right. Then you smile as you go past 3rd gens sideways

hell im still a noob so just about everyone on here is my daddy. ive done my fair share of research but dont have the cash or time to put it into action. as far as specific people go, lets just say it'd be easier to name the people on here who aren't my daddy on this forum, well the 1st gen specific anyways, geez the lounge is terrible.

As new as I am, I would have to say that the guys that have helped me the most have been revhed, inittab, mar3, and jeremy. In no particular order of course. Basically anyone with any insight in to these cars is my daddy, cause I don't know **** compared to 90% of you guys.

It's nice to see people gettin recognized, that doesn't happen nearly often enough.

mY pImP dAdDy'Z aRe Everyone who:

1) Has a First Gen - Just because they WANTED a 1st Gen, even if they could afford something Newer and Quicker.

2) The guys with the Autocross setups - I got to admit they are cool.

3) Like Mike-P says, all the Turbo first Gen guys who've did it, done it, and have the T-shirt.

4) All the guys who wrench their own cars, screw up, ask questions, and then get it right.

5) All the guys who have websites dedicated to their first Gen's, and contribute all their mods, "how-to's", and pics of it all.

Oh, and very important... I DO get a little frustrated with Newbies who never bothered to look around the forum before postin silly questions. (I know, I got to chill out.) So, Number 6 is:

6) All the guys who actually use the "SEARCH" on the forum before asking the Newbie questions.

Me too. This includes pretty much anyone from Oz, PR, and a certain black TII from Miami. My friend Bryan owns me in turbo knowledge I'll stop before the list gets too long.

Luckily I know enough that I don't ask too many questions.

thanks brian. i'm kind of scared i'm looked upon in that way though. kinda like the teachers that would ask what was going to happen to the country when us kids grew up.

i'd have to say those with the higher knowlege and those that jump in and help out despite being new. a lot of unsung heros that tend to not stand out but are always jumping in when no one else has an answer. you know who you are.

i'd also like to give it up for chadwick, who gave me my first ride in a 7. it was also a 3rd gen he autocrosses and damn............can't lift head off of headrest.....

Most are listed here:

http://home.mn.rr.com/linnihan/turbo_project_thanks.htm

There's probably a few names missing. My RX-7 pimp daddies are many, and still a growing group.

BadAssRX-7 would be my RX-7 pimp daddy if he'd finish those sleepy eye kits.

No soup for you! No T-shirt until it is done.
Meanwhile, you may have the decal.
