So what Ive been up to.. 56k beware!
So I had to pull my engine... I blew out a water seal and the front housing filled with coolant and water So here are some pics.. Check out the port job Props for the guy who ported this, he even ported the 5th and 6th. We took a snake camera into the engine but Ill take some pics of it once I tear it down.. But for now a teaser I guess. This is my first time pulling and engine, and I have to say that it went really smoothly and was quite easy I may be addicted
once I pulled it out.
Bare engine bay
New SE Long block 64k
Porting on the old engine.. Large Streetport
Porting on stock for comparison.
and a pic of my 7 for good measure
Enjoy!

This is the camera we used to look into the engines. A friend runs network and cable lines in existing buildings. He uses it to look into the walls. It also has a 10' extension. The camera is between the lights in the second picture.
It would just fit in the exhaust port of the 2) GSLSE stock port engines. Easily fit in the ported engine and 4 port 13Bs I have. Good thing it is waterproof to several meters. The front housing of the engine we pulled was half full of water. The camera would not fit in the 12A exhaust ports (sightly smaller). It also will obviously not fit into a later 13B with the exhaust inserts. I wish it had a video output.
No way to take pictures of the screen. I only get reflection of the camera. I could see slight flaking on several of the housings I looked at. I could also see the general condition of the housings and rotors. I think he paid under $300. Uses 4 AA batteries.

Engine cleaned, lightweight flywheel installed , tranny switched, almost ready to go in. Can't believe I missed the upside down engine mounts. Wonder why PO did that. Thanks Jeff. I believe the ported engine we removed was originally built for Alex (Directfreak). I got it from Joe (lwnslw) in Miami. The new engine is the 64K long block that has been on the parts page for a couple months. We went to Biloxi this past weekend to pick it up from Steve (estevan62274). Can't believe they allowed 2 long haired 50 something guys onto Keesler AFB where Steve is a firefighter.

We got the car finished yesterday. The new engine started on the first try. I'm not counting the 10 tries before I figured out we had the fuel and return lines switched
Thanks Steve. You did a good job removing and preserving the engine.
I'll start another thread with pictures of the ported engine we removed when I open it up. Should be interesting.
