facing the engine or the manifold?

A 20B gasket is directional. I noticed 13B gaskets are made from the same material, so I started making sure my 13B gaskets were installed the 'correct' way. It's one of those times when it probably wouldn't hurt anything to install it either direction, but why not go with the way the gasket maker recommends?
