So many plans but so far from home

I just had to come out and say that I can't wait to get back to the states. I have so many plans for my 85 GSL and I have so much money saved up for it. On top of that I haven't done my taxes yet so thats money that I'll also be getting once I leave this big sandbox in the middle east.

Plans are to take out the 12a and replace it with a bridgeported 13b with a holley 600, racing beat header into a custom exhaust. Hopefully by the time I get back my friend in Florida would have found a set of SE suspension and rear end for me to swap out with. This will be my daily driver/have fun on weekends car. For the time being the only suspension upgrade I'm going to do are eibach proline springs, replace the factory shocks and struts, and replace all bushings. After all that I'm going to upgrade with strut tower bars, sway bars and then size up on the rims/tires to either 15" or 16". Thats all the performance parts that I am planning on for now.

For the interior I've already upgraded to an alpine CD player and Infiniti Kappa 6.5 2ways in the back with Boston acoustic 4" in the front(the 4" came with the car) I'll be adding a ten inch Power Accoustic sub in a custom made box that I'll be building with a Kenwood 2channell amp pushing about 400 watts to the sub. The actual interior is in excellent condition with the only flaw being that their is a plastic piece cracked on the driver side door handle but it looks like I can replace it. Just gotta find the part. I replaced the stock steering with a Nardi Classic 3 spoke. I would like to replace the drivers seat with a reclining bucket from Corbeau or maybe Tenzo-R, if anyone has any experiences with those seats or no of any reason I should go with something else please let me know.

Now comes the exterior. the small rubber piece underneath the gas cap fell off on day but I have a replacement for that I need the hood and the fenders repainted because it looks like it had waaaaaay too much sun. Other than that the body is going to be kept stock. I already purchased and installed a glass moonroof that I found in a junkyard for 75 bucks. I want to upgrade the stock headlights because I don't think its bright enough. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to go and purchase a 1000 dollar HID system.

This REX is going to be a budget racer in a sense because I didn't pay a dime for the car and the only thing I spent money on is the gas, battery, rotor and cap, and my belts for my dual pulley(got the pulley for free). It only had 109,000 miles when I got it and it had been sitting for five years in this guys yard and the only reason he got rid of it was because it wouldn' t pass emmissions. after five years I did a quick inspection to make sure the motor wasn't seized and I just jumped it and the baby started up like it was new. I think it was a pretty good deal. It came with 3/4 tank of gas.

I've already had couple of local civic drivers challenge me with their POS rides. Nothing special, they had the single cam non vtec with stock pipes to a generic muffler. I was able to keep up with a FC TII, but only because mmm......lets just say that he's never heard the buzzing sound that all rx7 make when you take it into the red.

I would like to get suggestions and tips that don't put a huge dents in my pocket and would help with performance or just make my car look better. thanks

Well which is it Go or show? J/k

but sounds like you've got a good plan there. Although bridgeported 13b would be nice for sure! If you got the bridgeport and you want more power...

but you can always do the normal intake/exhaust pair to start with. Then go to the engine later. Or nitrous oxide is always one possiblitity. The car would be a great addition for sure. Also new springs and some better aftermarket shocks is a great start on the suspension. I guess it depends on how much you wanna spend in time and effort.

and as for the headlights, I just got a sheet of acrylic and I'm gonna see what i can do for a lighting upgrade!

For the headlights just upgrade the bulbs to some more powerful than stock. Ideally you need vision to 150% of your 70mph-stop time.

Where could I pick up a H4 conversion kit for my headlights?

The reason I'm going with the bridgeport is that my friend let me drive his bridgeported seven and I fell in love with it. I'm not really worried about the reliability of the engine because the seven has been his daily driver for more than 3 years now and hasn't given him any problems. I decided that I'm not going with nitrous because I was thinking about what all I would need and cost of parts and filling the tank. If I'm going to upgrade the engine I would turbocharge it. If I ever go that route I would probably go with a TO4R on a bridgeported 13BT from a 2nd gen and keep it carb'd. That won't be happening for atleast a few years though.
