So many dead links and missing pictures!

First off, i must say that i love this site, yes it is slow at times, but the content is great.

It also seems that most of the issues, or questions about first gens have been covered over and over again.

This is great for us, because we can search and get our answers instantly!

The only downside is that a lot of these threads are getting really old. I seem to be running into a lot of dead links and most importantly missing pictures. A lot of the questions i have are generally answered by the neat walkthroughs you all have documented.

So, is there any way to update some of the really helpful threads?

If not, can you go a little easy on me if i ask for pics or help on topics that have already been discussed? I have several projects i am working on and without this site i would be lost!

This is a long shot, but try switching browser's, the pics might be there but your browser has issues. I've started using explorer to view this site, because the browser I usually use, firefox, is spitting blanks where a lot of the pictures should be, and do show up on explorer.

Bump.

would it not be a better option of doing like on nopistons.com? As in you're not allowed to link outside pictures, can are only allowed to upload them directly to their serves. This would eliminate this whole problem

I use links to outside pictures because I don't know how to attach pictures directly and have them show up full sized like Jeff20B always does. If someone told me how to do that I would attach all my pictures that way from now on.

Search, n00b, that has been covered too!

Anyways, you attach the picture(s) using the managing attachment button of course, and then once attached, right click on the attachment and copy the link's url. Now paste that url wherever you want the pic to show in your reply and put the appropriate code before and after it:

You're done.
