snythetic 2 regular oil?

when i first pruchased the car a month ago or so i did the tune up bit and b4 i was aware of what synthetic could do i.e. create new leaks. so i was wondering if there was something different involved in going back to conventional oil castrol gtx 10-40. i live in WA some advice would be great. i am in the process of power foaming as we speak and thought i should change my oil since my wife has been driving with me and flooding and stalling.

As far as I know theres one rule about doing what your talking about, and that is once you go synthetic, you cant go back. That is why they have synth-blend so you can go from regular to better blend and back if you like.

ive never heard of that. it has only been in for a lil over a month about 1500 miles. i would see somthing on the lines as draining syn. filling with some cheap **** run it an hour or less then drain and fill with desired oil from there, or even a motor flush bottle in the old oil then desired oil.

I switched back and forth from full syn to el-cheapo **** in my shadow all the time.

Unless there's a specific reason you can't switch back on a rotary, I don't see why it would matter. They're both supposed to blend together and be compatible.

Just switch back, and get your next oil change a little sooner (like half as long a time) to be on the safe side, but I wouldn't worry.

Unless you premix, you shouldn't use synthetic anyway.

There are absolutely no problems with switching back to regular.
