smoking at idle?

Here is the scoop. I rebuilt a 12a SP. Has about 2K on it. Have Holly intake with Edelbrock carb. I tappped into my primary intake to feed the OMP. It does not smoke on startup, but after running, mainly at idle it begins to smoke a little especially when I give it throttle. All the plugs begin to carbon up also. I can see the oil flowing thru the OPM lines at idle and seems to be feeding almost as fast as it should at a faster idle. I rebuilt the OMP and that didn't slow it down. At the intake I would have a constant vacuum and since it has just now began to smoke after 2K miles I was wondering now that it is getting broke in and has a lot more vaccum because of increased compression, could it be the manifold is supplying too much compression and causing excess oil to enter the intake. Like I said, it does not smoke on startup and has just now began to develop this problem.
