Hey guys, if you seen my previous thread about my engine smoking terribly after having Marvel Mystery Oil sitting in it for two weeks, then you know the deal.

Well here is my latest finds...
With the engine warm and car parked I can rev the engine from 1k to about 3500k with no smoke. Anywhere from 4k or higher she goes into james bond mode.

Could this be some MMO still left in the engine somewhere? or did my oil seals magically go poof overnight.
The engine has 112,000 original miles, but never ever smoke before at any rpm, or even startup!!!

Just a guess, but i'm thinking the MMO made it's way down your exhaust far enough to where the heat is hot enough to burn it off during low medium rpm acceleration. I would't worry about it unless your noticing unusual oil consumption. Besides, if it was a oil seal it would be smoking no matter what.

 

Oh yeah, I did the atf treatment on a car that doesn't get driven much, and when it's warmed up doesn't smoke either unless i put my foot in it a few times. Then it really starts to smoke and my engine didn't smoke at all before the atf treatment.

 

Take that car out on Route 80 and let 'er rip for a while. Or better yet, the Parkway, you'll have no choice but to let 'er rip on the Parkway.

That's should clean 'er out.

 

turbovr6 thats scarry my car does the exact same thing after i put mmo in it and then did atf it also bellows white somke for like the first 15 minutes of opperation and has for like the past 3 weeks.. and i'm eating oil like 1 quart every 100 miles its getting scary..

 

That is defintely not good. But I can't imagine how doing the MMO or ATF treatment can cause this problem.

 

well it didn't do either before idid it?!?!?! the weird thing is that i do have more power??

 

yep my car has more power now too.

 

i'm so lost with it. i've got a buddie with a ferrari testorosa, lambo contach se, 69 vette, and any ways hes got a buddit with a 400hp rexy and hes gonna see about getting me his old engine maybe i'll get lucky
