also in the lounge someone told me a trick instead.................
1. pull headlight motor fuse
2.push or turn **** to open ur headlights with out turning ur lights on
3. tape fuse in untill u reach hieght you want the lights at ( just tape the fuse in dont put it in or it will compltly open or close lights depending on where u started) and he said the lights should still work with fuse out and then when your done put fuse back in and ur lights should go back to normal.......i gusse this dosnt hurt anything..?....??...

you want to do that EVERYTIME?

coming out of the bar 2:15am with the nights hot date....

"hold on honey I gotta turn <hic> on my phat lights...."
pop the hood.....<hic> lean over to pull fuse
"oh, feeling a bit woosy <hic>"
Pull the fuse....."It will be just <hic> a min more sweety!"
2:20am
Pull the caps off the headlight motors.... start winding
"almost done <hic> sugarpie!"
2:24am
Still winding.......
"my you <hic> sure do look pretty sweet <hic> standing there...."
2:30am
putting the caps back on you notice a car door opening....
thinking she is tired of waiting that she is just getting in your car..
but you look up and see she is getting in someone elses car....
2:35am
your in the car, ALONE, ready to go with your sleepy headlights.
speaking of sleep, thats what you will be doing instead of bangin the hottie....

Ok, that was funny. It would be better to modify the linkage to make it just open shorter.
to have to go thru all the everytime would be to much of a pain.

I dont understand how it would be for any car with pop-ups. There are many different sizes and kinds.

Rusty,

You can't use this on a first gen and here's why. The lights are actually semi-rigidly mounted to the lid. So when the lid is down or partially down, the headlights point towards the ground. If you were to waste your money on the controller, and I know exactly which one it is, your headlights would be shining on the bumper.

Does this make sense? Why would you want your headlights to shine on the front bumper instead of the road?

Kepp the "gay bug eyes" and just be happy you have a car at 15. There are probably a bunch of other areas on this car that you can modify and not compromise the safety features.

Looks like you have quite a few things to do to your car, maybe you should work on getting your license first?

Yeah really he's 15. What better way to spend his money and time. Any way good luck with the car, I wish that I would have done that instead of wasting my money on GF's and junk.
