Simple DLIDFIS questions please help
I almost have it done, Still have some more wiring to do but it too darn cold to stay outside and do it.
I have the coils mounted in the car. Half the battle.
Gutted old ignitor and soldier jumpers inside. (not much room to work in there and whats up with all the goop in there?)
Leading ignitors are hooked up to the coils. Still have yet to run the wires from the gutted ignitor to the two new lead ignitors.
Trailing ignitor wiring harness, I have made my own so as not to mess up the stock wiring harness. Mine consist of a positive line, signal line for the coil and a wire branching off the positive line to the condensor (the tiny silver can).
This is where I get a question. Now, I know that the trailing ignitor is connected to the fuel pump and the tach in some way or another. Will making my own harness kill the pump and tach? If so, what wire do I have to find to keep these two things going?
I still have a few more things to accomplish before I get to turn the key. I'm installing a 2 gen fuse block and electric fan all at the same time. It's going kinda slow with the weather, wife and kid.

I do believe it depends on the year of your car.
www.iluvmyrx7.com has wiring diagrams for all the model years of 1st Gens, they should have the info you're looking for.

Leave the trailing as stock as possible, and the fuel pump and tach should still work. I believe the fuel pump and tach wires Y together at the coil's negative quick-disconnect terminal.
It can feel a little weird tearing into your stock wiring, so I can understand if you feel a little worried. Just use logic and common sense and it will work out fine. Like Moe said, you already have all the info you need to figure this stuff out.

Yeah I found page 21 and printed it. I read your DLIDFIS page and and didnt notice any reference to this. I might have skimmed over it.
Well, Im going to run a wire off the signal side of my wiring harness and stick a male connector on it to stick in the the original ignitor connector. That should cover the fuel pump nd the tach.
Thanks
