Question Silver Plugs?

Well, I just picked up a nice fresh set of 2nd gen stock plugs from my local mazda dealer for my '85 GSL-SE. Funny think is, instead of the normal yellow/gold colour they usually are, this new set is silver colored?

They are the same NGL BUR7EQ and BUR9EQ's I always run, just a different colour. Has anyone else run in to this, or know why?

They seem to be working just fine, I'm just curious...

I've run both the stock 1st gen BR9EQ's, and the 2nd gen BUR7/9EQ's, and I find the 2nd gen's hold up better over time and hard driving, so they're what I normally run. But the colour on my new set is different, and it's just buggin' me.

2nd and 3rd gen plugs held up very well in my 12a streetport on the track and street!

the -P on the end of the NGK part number stands for Platinum. Last longer. Better spark IMO. Cost more!

I picked up some BUR7EQs for my 20B last summer and they were the good old yellowish cadmium color, thank goodness.

Up here it's more like an extra couple of bucks a plug for the platinum... Maybe I should shop around a bit...

My first thought was that they might be platinum too, but the part number etched on the plug is BUR9/7EQ. No -P
