Iotus, how did you make your choice?

I made teh tail lights myself, that place (Run by Jose Reyes, mazdatrix 12a street port build), sells the side and corner lenses.

I assume you're asking as to my choice of gauge faces? I've seen Josey's in person. They are AWESOME. Very high quality, and they look outstanding. The reason why i went with the other ones, which i bought from www.streetracerparts.com , had indiglo numbers and digits.

The ONLY thing i dont like about Jose's is that his numbers are jsut clear, and teh faded bulbs behind are what lights it up. If you were to put high lum lights back there, it might look fine, i dont know, but I LOVE my SR Motorsports (streetracerparts.com) gauges, and they are the exact ones that Manntis Sells (and for much cheaper than i bought mien for!)

You need to get the whole cluster out, and then remove the covers. It's a pain, but after doing it as many times as I did, you get handy at it

It's too bad they're not all red or orange, so they match the rest of the dash. I don't care for the blue. Or any other color for that matter...

If someone made orange indiglo gauge faces, I'd pay through the nose for those...

The look I'm talking about is like the gauges in the Chrysler 300M/LHS. If you've never seen these, they're awesome. Just my opinion, though!

Peace!

Hey

I think I had the first set installed..........SR Motorsports did this last Sept. at Sevenstock........Took them alittle over an hour with lots of people watching......They did not pull the steering wheel......

The blue looks great at night and the rest of the markings look like the rest of the dash..........

I have since moved my switch in the dash so its looks real custom..........I cant say enough for the blue it really looks awesome.........

I used Dodge Intrepid needles......Orange and they are a direct replacement.........They look great during the day and night............I will be updating my pictures with the new dash switch.........

This is a great upgrade..........

The gauges look great, but can I use them with the original amber backlight. If so, how do I do it. Do I just leave the factory lights or just change the covers on the lights.

All items on http://www.rotorhead.ca are shipped directly from the supplier/manufacturer, and shipping rates are for Canada and the US.

Therefore, the 84-85 gauges will cost you USD $49.99 plus $9.00 shipping, the same as if you were in the US

custom guages

Has anyone made a custom guage setup/ bezel in their 7? The last car I owned was a '67 Mustang, and I ripped out the original guages and put in Autometers, but that dash was a lot larger. I'd love to see what it looked like in the already-racy interior of an RX. -A

When you install these gauge overlays you do nothing with the gauges.......they go over the stock set up and are powered seperately.......the lights still work but do not shine thru.......they still dim on the center console.......and if you ever want to switch back it is reversible.......Manntis has some great prices......

i remeber stumbling into a site which had the white gauges for the rx7..

and there was more choices.. i just forgot where it is damnit!!

it even had some for KM/H
it was just 1 guy who was making it..

he perfected doing it

and there was one or more for every first gen series

if anyone could tell me where that is.. it would greatly be appreciated

Already discussed above, and the link was mentioned. Jose Reyes makes them, here in Washington State. Like i said, the only thing i don't like about them is the stock lamps are what is used to light it up, and i like the indiglow better of the silver ones.
