Silly n00b question..........

Ok, everyone talks about the storage area behind teh front seats. Well I have a back seat behind my seats but I do notice a silver handle in the center on the bottom. Does it do anything or is there any way to pull it to get up the back seats??? Silly noob wants to know.

Heh... I was wondering about that lever too. You can pull it out to release the seat back at which point you can fold the seat back down onto the seat bench. The reason it spins is because you can only pull it if it's spun in the right direction. So first give it a pull and if it doesn't come then turn the handle 90 degrees and try again. Also it might be fairly siezed so it may help to try wiggling the seat back while pulling the ****.

AFAIK that's all the handle does. I haven't attempted to take the seat bottom out so I'm not sure how you'd go about doing that. If you figure it out let me know!

The bins are where the back seat used to be.

When The RX-7 was designed the laws in Japan stated that it had to have a back seat.

When the cars were tested for the US market the it failed crash testing so they took out the back seat and put in the storage bins.

You guys have back seats not storage bins

The button that pops up your headlights id for when it is winter time. That way you can leave your headlights up and not worry about them freezing shut and burning out your headlight motor.

oh, right on then. So then some U.S. models did have back seats then? The way everyone talks around here is that they have storage spaces behind thier seats and not useless back seats.

Most of us DO have the storage bins. Some backseat cars have been imported.

Dealers could put the back seats in new cars, and you could buy aftermarket back seats. The real reason they had them in Japan was marketing. The reason they did not have them in the US was again marketing.
