Replace the links, they are non-repairable. Also check the fuses.

rule of thumb, always do a quick swipe of the cable across the bat terminal before making a solid connection to make sure all is wired right. in ur case, u would've gotten a bad spark telling u something wasn't right.

Ok I have 12 v in and out of fuseable links the eng.fuse is good, 12 volts at the ing. switch, when I turn key nothing, volts drop to 4,no main relay, no nothing,I looked at the Hanes manuel it said there is 2 fusable links under the ign. switch area but I think that is 4 older model
am I dropping so much voltage across the ign. sw nothing works?
Ill put a jumper across it tomorrow and put in new fusable links and post results

I bet you wont do that again. sometimes we have to learn things the hard way.
This sounds like a good time to look at all ur fuses.

Star checking grounds too.

Introducing 12v through the ground wires can cause alot of ground issues. Without ground you get nada. Could also have melted wires in the harness. You might want to pull the looming off and inspect everything.

There is a fusable link on the starter. I think it goes to the hot start assist.

You can also replace the three fusable links with buzz fuses.
