Beautiful car. Too bad he bought the wrong '84 model. $4-5K is more likely, IMHO. Where are the interior pics?

Why would anyone buy a (relatively) cheap import sports car and only accumulate 28K miles in 21 years? I understand--but don't empathize with--that sort of thing when you're talking about high-dollar sports cars, but a first gen 7? What better car to drive like it was meant to be driven?

At least he wasn't suffering from cylinder envy like alot of eBay 7 sellers. He knows his target market is aware that the cylinder number is irrelevant. Personally, I think 6-cyl is a valid correlation by counting combustion chambers, and 4-cyl is pretty close as a performance comparison.

i have always thought of the rotary as a 2 cylinder if we had to call it a *something* cylinder.

nice car. i don't know if i could ever keep a first gen stock though. i personally think of these cars as something made for modifying. to me it doesn't make sense not to.

i can still appreciate a good original clean first gen though. im old enough to remember them when they first came out, and for one of these cars to get through all those years and still look new....awesome.

No, not being sarcastic for once lol
My first 7 was a red 85 12A and now that I have the widebody 13B, I kinda wish I had a stock 7 again. Kinda like Michael Jackson's nose: The more you mess with it the more there is to do.

im pretty sure that car isnt going to sell. way too much on the opening bid,no engine pics,no interior pics, and not enough in the description.
it is a very nice car and i would love to have it but im not going to pay almost 10k for it, especially without even seeing the inside or the engine.
i think the highest ive seen a 1st gen sell for is around $6500 tops.

agree about that. not enough pics to sell a car for that amount

i don't doubt it is mint though, but i'd rather spend half that on a fully modded
first gen. but that's just my opinion

IT's NOT WORTH THAT MUCH MONEY!!! IMO ofcourse. Get a nice $500 GSL like I found and redo it for the extra 9k and also throw a 13bt hybrid streetport pimp in there for that much.

It's worth $5k max.... I've seen a bunch of low mi FBs sell for around that amount. Now, if it were an SE, you could get $9k with that low of mileage. But not a GSL!

people dont want to pay for a nice car. everyone wants everything dirt cheap and i cant say that i blame anyone, but people dont want to pay. i tried selling my LS and its in EXCELLENT shape and i even posted that i would take offers. i had NONE, so i said screw it and im gonna keep the car. so, if this guy wants to sell the car, he'll have to correct some things and probably hope for a prayer.

RX-7s are amazingly low priced. I bought my 85GSL for $1700 with only 49K.

Here's another FB for way too much money. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda...76278633QQrdZ1

The guy has a "Buy it now" for $3k. Granted, the paint is nice, and the body seems straight; it is still no where near worth the asking price.

BTW, I didn't feel like starting a new thread.

WAY too much for a car with 117k miles! Some of these guys are just way off base.
