Should I sell my 98 Mustang to build my 85 RX-7 GSL?

Well heres the deal, I just got back my first car, a 84 Mazda RX-7 GS, fully restored with 55k original miles. Yestarday I bought a 85 Mazda RX-7 GSL, power windows & sunroof (not power), great interoir, new moter with less than 50K miles, and needs paint, for $200. I do have the $ to get it painted with out selling the mustang, but I don't have the $ to get 400HP out of the engine. If I sell my stang I would have enough $ to make this thing a beast. I also have another 12A engine and 5-speed trans, so I could still drive both 84 and 85 RX-7's while I was building the engine to around 400HP. I also have a Toyota Paseo to drive as a DD. My question is, if you were me what would you do about selling the stang and using the $ to build up the 85 RX-7? I would put about 4k in to the drivetrain of the 85, what kind of power could I expect to get for that kind of money? Also what would be a better setup turbo or supercharger.

Well I already have a house, and 6 cars including the stang, 2 RX-7's, 72 ELCamino, 65 Malibu SS, and Toyota Paseo. I would really like to turn the 85 RX-7 into a mean street machine, I want it to be way faster than my 65 Malibu SS (show car)
Edit: heres a pic of my Mustang, I love it but I want something with alot of power, that I would be able to drive every other day.

sell the stang, everybody has one The ratio of fast mustangs to fast 1st gen Rx7s speaks for it's self. If I had the option, I would do just that.

It is a good engine, and can make a good amount of power, if built right. There are some V6 stangs running 9's in the 1/4. Anyone know of a good turbo kit for the 12A?

I say if the stang has LSD, swap the rearend w/ the RX's and sell the car , it may save you from breaking w/ 400 hp. The world could always use another fast first gen. and Robert at the Shack should be able to help you out.

I'm going to keep the Mustang and go the NA route. What mods will it take to get me over 250 rwhp?

A peripheral port (or maybe a huge bridge port), massive amounts of tuneing and thousands of dollars.

For a v6 mustang enthusiast you sure have some lofty goals when it comes to rotarys.

Go for it, it's gonna cost ya though.

Would the 12A be more reliable NA or with forced induction? Also is the webber carb a good one?
