Oil pan bolts without a washer worked for me. They're the type of bolts that can be found on 1st gen and later engines, and not the long type found on early pans which use spacer type things.

Show pics. I put my Efan on and have tons of cleaearence. I reused the stock bolts on the fan shaft without any issues.

thats because u kept the spacer. without the spacer, you cant use the long bolts.

for the $0.85 that some bolts cost i wouldn't take a chance of half-assing it and cutting them down

Ah, but then the bolts wouldn't have the factory "washer-built-into-head" feature, would they? Calling it half-*** to modify parts to work in a given situation instead of just buying something right off the bat is a slap in the face to gearheads worldwide.Just to make your judgmental person feel better, though....a hacksaw?? No need to go caveman on us, dawg....

ps. And they cost more than 85 cents with gas prices as they are with our hungry rotaries....
