short throw shifter questions?

how hard is it to install a short throw shifter from mazdatrix.com....ive done it before

remove trim, three 10mm bolts and install.....

its an easy install, I think he means he's installed short throws before like on other cars, not a fb. Like was said earlier, a few trim pieces and 3 bolts basically. I have the mazdatrix one and as far as short throws go its pretty good, although after driving a few other cars with stock shifters I think I'm gonna switch back, the stock shifter is smoother. Anyone wanna buy a short throw?

Ill take it ive been trying to find one for a while around where i live and have had little luck.

If you just want a shorter shifter, buy an acrylic ball (or pool ball etc...) and tap the center of it. That will drop a good inch or two off the shifter height. though beware those ***** hold heat in the summer, lighter color or clear acrylic is a cool way to go.
