Short shifter

Hey a question, should i get the Mk1 short shifter off of ebay or should i go through mazdatrix

Looks OK.
What makes it a real short throw shifter and not just a "short" shifter,is the longer ball pivot at the bottom.It looks to be the real thing,much like Mazdatrixs' and others......also,$20 shipping!!?....thats where he's making his money!

I dont know how they expect it to fit the 79-80 models since they have a different tranny tower/console design......

so that one on ebay looks good? ive bene thinking about it. my car came with a cut shifter and a rx8 shift ****...its hard as hell to shift. but it looks good!

I just bought one of these off ebay, I think it good quality if you have an 81-85. I've got an 80 so I have to modify it to work. It reduces the throw by a lot, almost to much because the gears are so close together.

what makes this 1 so much cheaper then mazdatrix. I mean i know mazdatrix over charges but can anybody see the diff between the 2

That was a pretty good deal. That shifter will not fit a 79-80. And will not accept 81-88 shift *****.

the overpriced lovers at mazdatrix i would trust more than your average stolen car part put up on ebay!!!! i have a 80 and have that problem of finding one that is good victoria british puts out a nice one for all models and also i found that rx-7 has a cool *** that is made for specific years!!!!
