The logo will be on the front.

Unfortunately, my friend got entirely too busy to get the quote to me, so it'll be next week before I know for certain, but I personally am committed to moving forward with this.

Ok, you need the ouline of the hood itself as well. It just looks funky to me without it. All the talk so far has been about the crease lines or whatever on the hood, but the way its drawn, it doesnt look like there even is a hood to me. Other than that, Im liking the idea. Just work all the little details out (no pun intended).

The hood seams up with the fenders - go out and check your car, TJ

Don't look at the one-rotor design since that was during the really preliminary part.

I'll check into "micro-sizes" on Monday when I get the quote. I'll make sure the price won't fluctuate with different sizes, then I'll start taking orders so I know what sizes to get made up.

After that, or during that, I'll find out shipping prices (USPS) and we might just get this done!

Okay, turns out to fit the design on an extra-small shirt, I'll need to have it scaled which means we're looking at another set of screen charges. After I get the initial price and get things nailed down, I'll check on how many of us would love our kids to wear shirts like these, and move forward if there's enough that it won't cost $20 per shirt

So.... The hard numbers based on number of people who have said they will buy one, then rounding up to the next price break.

They're still winding up to $16/shirt and shipping is going to be additional (shouldn't be more then $3 a shirt by United States Postal Service).

From here on out, we do things the "little bit slow" way, but it's the way that'll keep things from getting out of hand. Email me and we go from there.

I know that, but as it sits right now, it looks like your car has no "top" of the fenders. The fenders curve over onto the top of the car, then the hood meets up.

Look at my front view at the site below. Notice how I have the "hood lines"?

Now look at the rear 1/4 view. Look up at the fenders and the hood, see how I forgot that line? Doesnt it look silly without it? Not "real"?

RMD, I see what you're referring to with regard to the hood line. In your line drawing you included the belt line (as seen in the color split in the pic below) in addition to the panel seams. I think Pratch's drawing works because the panel seam between the door and fender curves up onto the top of the car and the fender curves around the top of the bumper to meet the header panel giving it three-dimensionality.

I do think the hood accent lines should be extended onto the header panel on Pratch's drawing. You can see what I mean here:

Ahhhh...I see now. It makes sense now. Its almost like one of those 3D drawings of stairs. You can look at it for hours one way, then all of a sudden, it will reverse, ya know? Suddenly I get the lines of the car, haha .

Yes, I forgot to extend the lines onto the header panel, and now they will go there.

For the record, there is a hard point on the fender where TJ describes it, however it gets softer as it gets further back. There is no way to make it look right without extending the line all the way to the back, and in my artistic rendering, it would actually destroy the clean lines appearance

Final design. *cough* wish I could get this shirt made *cough* Oh well maybe when the logo becomes public domain I can sell these out in the open on a website or something.

Until then, you all know what to do My email is standing by. tom at pratchios.net

In theory, were I to make this shirt *cough* follow the link above *cough* it would run $16 + shipping. In theory, when I knew that the votes here were actual purchases, I'd go get the shirts done and then take money and start shipping. Of course, that's only in theory, right?

I mean, I probably didn't pay a deposit already banking on everyone following through... guess that link should be clicked, eh? Registration is needed to post, not to read, so read and email me

Sorrow, I know you're on the other forum, so just read there. I think I mentioned specifically about not being able to discuss things on this forum, and have been quite clear about how to get something

You know, seeing how there were over 40 folks who wanted to buy these, it's amazing how few emails I've gotten

Maybe playing coy wasn't the best idea?

Yes - I said i wasn't going to play coy, then I didn't spell it out.

If there's any chance at all of getting these made, I need those who are serious and ready to put down money soon to email me with shirt sizes/quantities.

Email me here!

C'mon folks, time to ante up. There are over 30 people above who said they'd be interested at this price and another 22 who are ~$4 short of wanting one. You mean you're going to let 4 paltry dollars stand in your way of obtaining a very limited edition, 1st generation specific, custom piece of RX-7 automobilia? He's got my pledge for two. One of which is going to make a great gift for a fellow RX-7 lover who doesn't know these exist. Let's make it happen folks!

Disclaimer: The above is all theory and written in a tongue not understood by many. What I actually said was that I probably had pancakes for breakfast, not that I just committed to buy two shirts from Pratch.

Email Pratch here!
