wheres a good place to get the plate that surrounds the shifter on the first gens for cheap. I have a 79 with a 5 speed. Also if anyone has an extra they dont need let me know.

The plastic piece that holds the shift boot in place (glued to it) or the metal thing with the 3 bolts that attaches the shifter to the tranny more securely?

they are unique only to the 79- 80 from what i've seen. The fb's are smaller and probably won't fit. I got one for mine on ebay for 10 bucks (with the boot) The little nipples that hold on the boot all broke off mine and my shift boot was ripped. I have it if you really want it, but its in kind've crappy condition.

any pictures of the plate? Is it cracked or anything, or just the nipples broke?

There's a small crack (about 5mm) from the upper right hand corner of it to the screw hole. I don' have any pictures of it right now.
