shifter boot

What shifter boot did an '83 GSL come with.. was it the rubber accordian type or a leather/vinyl stitched boot?

Mine has a leather/vinyl type but I have reason to believe the tranny may have been out at some point in time. The leather/vinyl has now ripped and I want to replace it with the correct one.

Speaking of shifter boots...... does anyone know where I can get a leather or leather-like boot to replace the rubber one on my 85?

Okay, thanks. I wonder where mine came from then. It looks pretty good except for the rip in it.

i made mine out of a leather jacket from value village. cost me a total of $8.

i bought the jacket, made the measurements, cut the leather, and bribed my mom into sewing it up for me.

looks pretty good, but i think i could do it better if i tried it again.

/edit: you can kind of see it in this pic: http://doomguy.net/imagery/cars/uwsa...-reduction.jpg
