LSD rearends have nothing to do with a 7, it's a type of differntial. All GSLs came with lsds. If it's kind of a chattering shake, change the diff fluid and make sure to get the lsd additive.

Recommend you download the FSM for your car that can be accesed by clicking onto trochoids name and going to his profile.
That will give you all the info you need.
The fluid of course is at the auto parts store. :-)

I like that shudder/shake because it is telling me the LSD is tight!

The LSD is not in the transmission. It's the large bulbous shape (also referred to as a pumpkin by some) in the middle of the rear axle housing. Look at it and you'll see the drain and fill plugs. If I recall correctly you need a 1/2inch drive ratchet to get them out.... I think. I know my plugs have a square hole in them. Although I've never had any shaking problems from mine going through turns. I know its working though because of my smoky afterwork burnouts.

where exactly do you live? changing the rearend fluid is very easy. i suggest going with royal purple or redline fluids. the cheapest place ive found to get royal purple is racing beat. if youre not in a rush, order some. if youre in a major rush and want royal purple, i MIGHT sale you some. you can also go to any auto parts store and tell them you want a synthetic rearend fluid with lsd additive.
