Also curious if you figured out what the silicone is for and the welding marks... Im curious about your swap... Im still at the crossroads of my little endeavor...

By the way the little red caps in the trailing holes is a good sign of a compression check

Don't know about the silicone but I guess the weld marks are common. The little red caps are the reason my last cosmo engine had to be sent back. It had water in the rear rotor housing when I got it thanks to someone steam cleaning it with the plastic caps in instead of the spark plugs!! The water probably woulden't have done that much damage but it froze in there while it made it's treck on a truck from CA to the frozen tundra where I live (MN). When water freezes it expands and it moves what ever is in it's way. It had 32psi in the rear chamber (where the frozen water was) and 122psi in the front chamber. Hmm.. think thats a coinciedence?? My new engine that I just picked up on thur seems to have good compression front and rear but I don't know for sure because they decided to take the starter off the block before I got it. Wish I knew this one wasn't going to have a starter so I could have taken it off the bad cosmo before I shipped it back But anyways... here I'll get you some pic's

That is what happenes to your o-ring grove when you decide to never change your coolant. You will know when this happens because your car willl overheat no mater what and it will blow coolant out the over flow tank due to the compression leaking in to the coolant passeages. Just a FYI pic that I took today

Ok so how does the twin turbos work on those motors, Im told their operated by the ecu and some say they arent. The ones that say they are say that you will end up going with a single, so you should just get a 13bt... So what gives?

By the way, DUDE ITS GONNA BE SWEET!

Not sure how exactly the twins are controled in sequence but I'm not using them anyways. Bah 13bt's are boring j/k... I figured what the hell you only live once so why not spend the extra 500 bones. There are some +'s to the cosmo over the 13bt's.
1. Better intake manifold design
2. Better ports (I've been told)
3. Can stand more HP in stock form because of the stronger endplate (they got rid of the old starter mount on top of the engine so there is metal there where there wasn't previously, less chance of the plate cracking)
There may be more +'s that I'm not aware of.

Thanks for the thumbs up!
