Talking Know your enemy.

I had a MKII Supra on a lift recently. 1985 Model.

It looked MUCH more advanced than my same year RX-7

Independant Rear suspension, Power Rack and pinion steering, Four wheel disc brakes, V6 engine.

What are they like? I can't do any serious driving in the customer's cars. It's frowned upon by the company and the customers. Just from the parking lot to the bay and back, maybe up and down the street to test for problems. That is all.

Stock for stock, can the Supra hand with the 7 or vice versa?

V6 in a Supra?

What are they like? They're TANKS. Very heavy. Just like a similar-vintage 300ZX.

Basically, drive an FC with a very large passenger and a hatch full of heavy stuff and that's what a Supra feels like...

Okay... Now for the kicker... He talked about getting a Garret T-03 Turbo installed.

Could I hang with it then? Or would it blow me away?

a T3???

awful small for a 3-liter... he'll make great power until 5k when the turbo runs out of breath... guys run pairs of T3s (junkyard scavenged from Turbo Coupes) on 351's and they run out of breath around 5500 or so, fortunately they don't need to rev that high to run stupid fast

and later when he blows up his engine you can LITERALLY run circles around him
