Yes, it was an option on the 84/85 GSL and GSL-SE. My GSL-SE has power steering.

yes you could get the SE with power steering. However if you disconnect the belt and use it as a manual rack it feels great and isn't hard to steer as you would think. I love it, lets you feel the road alot better and there is no play like the regular manual rack. I hated the inch or so of play that the manual rack has.

i have it too in my SE the pully is removed and im pulling as much of it as i can its got a lil play but im going t ofix that so no biggie the play isnt that bad that lil bit of play aactualy moves the car in tiny incriments to the left of right im starting to get use to it too and i agree its not that hard to steer either
