Hun, Id help, but I think the 8-9 hour drive would drastically cut down on the time that I could actually help
I do feel sorry for you and hope that someone could help you out (ie: max7, he seems to be up to the task ).
I do suggest that you pick yourself up a beater of some kind for a couple hundred bucks, just something that you can drive around when the 7 is getting worked on

I wish you good luck with your engine swap (even if it means getting your pops or someone to help you out for a couple hours) and hope you get your 7 up and running soon!

I just finished swapping my car's engine, and it took me 6 hours, including lots of Coke and bathroom breaks... and those ones where you stare intently at the car for like 5 minutes before returning to reality...

i'm getting ready to swap my engine this morning. Just hoping my buddy comes through with his engine lift. Yeah I know, its a rotary, I could just pick it up, but I want to pull the tranny with it.

If all goes well this weekend and my car is done, I will be up there helping with yours. Don't see any reason why my swap would carry over into next weekend, but you never know.....Bud Light can sometimes interfer with your schedule

Weekend of May 10th, 11th is the barbecue festival here... No way Im missing that...If we got something organized on a day I dont have my kid, and everyone else would get together Id come help, provided I had money for gas for the 2 3/4 hour drive...

If you were local Id be there in a heartbeat.

Organize another get together at your house like you did with AIM, with you as head cook on the grill...

Even tho its rotary it still weighs about 250 complete

A LT1 GM motor with AL heads and AL block is still 300 lbs

Mike, stop posting since you obviously can't help...it's only teasing to keep saying "I'd like to bbuuutttt..here's my conditions..." It just ain't right...and that also goes to all the schmoos who keep posting about their swaps and how easy it was...she's looking for real help, dammit, Jim!! .

I can come up and work on Sunday the 12th, but I have to work on Saturday. Where does the car stand at this time besides the radiator and ac? Has anything else been done in prep for the motor swap? Is this a "new" motor or a salvage yard motor? Also, do you have a garage or access to one. Who knows what the weather will bring this time of year. Do you have a motor lift? If not, can you do some checking for me and see if a local autozone or such rents them and how much.

Also, can I get an actual roll call of who is coming to help. I will bring Joe (crazyjoe12a) and myself. Max7, are you coming for sure? Anyone else?

Let's make this happen!

Hey, I work alot. Gotta give me a chance to get to the boards!

We all wanna see you keep your RX-7. Without it, you wouldn't be rx-7girl... You would just be girl! Now that wouldn't be right!

Later,
James

Never said, I couldnt or wouldnt come. I said I couldnt come on the 10,11 or 12th. I have a crazy schedule just like everyone else, and with the complications of installs at home and my son (since me and the momma arent still together) makes it very hard!
