Question seems 2 be rich

whats shakin down in FB town? so heres my question i got a bone stock gsl no mods,and a bad shutter valve. 155,000 miles starts easy runs great bsides the rough idle. <s.valve> but its always smelled like it runs really rich never really payed attn to it till my bro said the fumes were killin him at stop light.jus wondering if it was anything obvious that it could be? like some other valve or maybe the smog pump? or is it the shutter valve? any info will be apprieciated thanks guys.

Could be the emissions system not working properly. So could be the air pump not working properly. My friends have mentioned the smell of my car when they sit behind me. I'm not running cats. Take your shutter valve off or put a blockoff plate over the hole. Wire the valve open or remove it completely. No guarantees that is the problem, but that's what comes to mind.

rebuild carb and strip it in the process
