Seats brackets

I'm thinking about buying bucket seats for my car and I'm not sure where to get brackets since I know the 1st gens have unusual mounting points. I just want to get an idea of what other people are running in their cars (links, names, etc.) not sure what seat I'm getting yet so both side mount and bottom mount options would be nice.

The stock seat brackets unbolt from the seat. You can mock up an intermediate frame to attach to another seat, but bear in mind the stock seats are fairly light so the brackets will not support a heavy seat (as I found out when I first installed RX8 seats )

OR - there are companies that make (made?) RX7 seat bracket adapters. This is how I finally got the RX8 seats to fit. Keep an eye in the Parts FS section or ebay. Usually run about $200-ish a pair. Also I recall the FC seats are the same fitting.

Corbeau sells seat brackets with dual locking sliders for FB's which are amazing, I have a set. You just need to make sure to get a seat that'll fit. I can attest that a Corbeau Forza Wide doesn't fit in an FB, I have a video of this on my YouTube channel.

What seats did you end up going with? Link to video as well? Or better yet, pics of the seats you ended up with.

i just picked up some Corbeau A4 seats with their sliders and brackets for the FB. It was a Craigslist Find, not my first choice from them, but I didn’t want to pass up on the deal. I test mounted the driver’s side tonight and it’s too high. Somewhere around an inch or so higher than my stock ‘85 GSL leather seats. I’m going to have to cut out the rear perches or something. The seats feel great though and the lateral support is amazing. The photos don’t do them justice.
