Seats

Hey,
My seats are toast in my FB. It seams OE seats are almost non existent. I want a set of comfortable, not rock hard racing seats. Any suggestions?

A friend of a friend is selling seats, with rails, from a 93 Integra GSR - any ideas as to whether or not they could possibly fit?

Thanks,
S

Here are the measurements you want to shoot for when looking for a seat. I took these myself. When shopping around.

This is what fits the best, and is the closest to stock seat size.

From the base to the top of the headrest - 32 inches no more than 33
Shoulder width - no more than 22 inches

Other than that anything else will fit.

Honda Prelude seats fit really well.

I have a set in my 7 and one in my uncle's car. Both look good and ride lower than the stock height so you don't hit your knees as hard.

Some manuf. is required though.

2nd gen seats are great in the 1st gen. Bolt-on and plentiful in j-yards.

From a 90 - 93 Integra

Just realized they are dark grey, not black.

If you're considering racing seats (the one piece style that don't recline), be sure to sit in the seat before you buy it. Those things are almost like buying gloves.

Id have to say summit racing seats. they look semi oem, well made, comfortable, nice shape to them and are cheap.

Link for a part number and price of the seats. Those might look good in the widebody.

Thanks for the link. I like the seats, but I prefer cloth for the inserts. Have you sat in them, how do they feel?

For Kim's FB RX8 passenger seat install...

Sorry about this thread semi-hijack, but I'd wondered if you had seen this graphic per my RX8 passenger seat install. (Stu has a custom-made bracket for his, too, that may be easier to copy.) Mine is pieced together using 80/20 aluminum bits and pieces. Maybe it will help you fab a bracket.

they feel good, i sat in a freinds set in his integra, they were still new so a bit new feeling, but overall for the price they were more than comfortable enough for me

True. But which color needs to change, the seats or the red/burgandy interior?

One of these days........
