Ok, what are you guys using to bolt in aftermarket seats, seats from other cars, etc? I have searched but not found what I'm looking for - tips appreciated!

(I found some cool seats for 60 bucks I want to put in, but they are nowhere close to "bolting in")

Fab something yourself.

Depends on the seat. I believe Corbeau sells a rail for all RX-7's

Has anyone used the corbeau rail? I have a friend who is a dealer, he can get me great prices, but sometimes their rails aren't perfect...

Anyone put seats in their car that didn't originally belong there? I could use the help! Thanks...

I've heard 2nd gen seats bolt straight in....

try pulling off the rails from your old seats.

The FC seats will bolt in, provided you swap the right rail on the driver's side seat from your original seats to the FC seat. The passenger seat requires no modification. I just put a set into my SA22C a couple of weeks ago, and I don't know how I lived without them. The bolsters are absolutely heavenly.

Get cloth seats if you can, as they will be in better shape than the leather seats. I got mine from a junked FC that was open to the elements for at least a year, and the seats cleaned up quite nicely, with only a little color fading on the bolsters and plastic surround on the bottom of the seat. I paid $40 CDN for the pair, which is light years cheaper than even the cheapest aftermarket seat BEFORE any modifications are made to make it fit the car.

Third generation Celica seats are supposed to fit the SA/FB with a minimum of fuss as well, as I've heard they bolt right into the FC.

Yep, Fab em or buy em. I had to buy some for my old skool Recaros.

Be wary of aftermarket seats though, almost all of them makethe passanger seat too high for comfort.

I have to redrill a hole for my new seats to go in. They're out of a 626. The passenger side directly bolted in, but the driver's side, even after swapping rails, won't work. The 626 seats is like an inch wider between the rails than my stock seats.
