seat preference?

hi-back style? lo-back style? 2nd gen seats? got some heavy driving coming up this summer, few long trips, was wondering what the most comfortable option would be that i might find in the 'for sale' sections

SA seats. They come with a comfortable racing seat feel.

Kgray, Sa seats? Theres no padding in those seats, lol.

It all depends on your height and fitment into the car.
Are you all legs or upper body? And do you have any back issues?
I have GSL seats in mine Se now. The Se seats are too tall. They have great support and lumbar adjustment in the Se leather ones but I'm too tall and had to have some lower ones.
Also have had Recaros in my previous Se. They were great because of the bolster support and leg extension plus they sat much lower to the floor than any other seats I have had.

I LOVE the way my seats feel. They were newly redone when i bought the car and they have more padding than any racing seat i have sat in.

I like my GSL seats ... i was going to get something like sparco but after riding in a few cars with just racing seats ... long rides aren't that confortable ... This is why i'm getting them redone with my tan interior color.

That's why. The have been redone. All of the stock untouched SA seats I have sat in had very little padding in them.

i have Sparco Sprint seats. steel frame, fixed abck buckets. not the greatest but not too bad for cheaper seats. if i did it again, i'd go sparco pro-2000 seats. OMG so comfy.

otherwise the recaros that come in an Integra type R are pertty much the most comfortable seat i have ever ssat in, racing style or now.

84-85 GSL seats

I have two 1984 GSLs, one with leather, the other with cloth seats. They are both comfortable, but the cloth ones are definitely more comfortable for me, and everyone who has ridden with me agrees. I don't know what the difference is, but they are definitely different. For street use, and especially for long rides, I would vote for the cloth seats from a 84-85 GSL if you can some nice ones.

I am 6'2" or a little over, and I am only comfortable with the glass sunroof because of the headroom.

Get some second gen cloth GXL seats. Thats what I'm using in my SE and they are much nicer than the stock leather ones.

redone seats usually cost basically 500$ and up ... depending on quality of material, and if it needs refoaming or not ...

HOW HARD WAS IT TO MOUNT THE SEATS? CAN I USE THE OLD BRACKETS AND DO I HAVE TO SWISS CHEESE MY CAR TO INSTALL THEM?

There isa thread already on the archives. it does not include the back part of the seat but it is a good platform to start from. Once I get my car completed, I will post the whole thing.
