Question searched, no result ACV blockoffplate gasket???!?

hey, i got my acv block off plate, i need to know what to use as a gasket, i have a piece of shoebox cut out as a temp. but im wondeing what i need to use for a permant solution

Plain gasket material (gasoline resistant stuff) from any autostore will do and maybe some RTV ...I once cut to shape an old 3-ring binder/folder to use

You can use the stock ACV gasket from the dealer.

ultra grey or hylomar will work fine, but dont goop it on there, just enough to do the job

Just make a gasket out of plain paper gasket material.
I've seen too many problems caused by overuse of RTV.

I used gasket material from the local parts store. I don't like the plian ol RTV idea either. rather do it once.
