2nd gen intake on se engine good idea?
Its an AWEsome idea!!
Will take some work to get it to function right, but my understanding is its good for upwards for 20hp gains!

Like the thread suggests:
It is considered an "upgrade" to the SE setup. Much of this comes from a larger AFM inlet. The intake manifolds and throttle body is a slightly better design but I beleive 20hp is a bit much to expect. FC's made 146hp compared to the 135hp of the SE. FC 13bs had lighter rotors and a different ECU running it all.
Personally, I would save my time and get a Weber. If ya just love that EFI, Haltech and the FC intake....then you will see your 20hp and a horizon of possibility

so i should upgrade the afm....anything better than a 2nd get one to do it with? (if i gotta buy one anyway) is it possibly to use a hotwire afm from a miata? i have one, but dont know if it would work.
