I put a bottle of Seafoam into my oil, but forgot to check how long i'm supposed to run it before i change it?

like 500km? 100km? 1000km? etc?

 

i thought u were suposed to hook it up to vaccum on the manifold the run the car

 

you can put it into the oil too... piston guys do it for sticky lifters and such. It's good for just cleaning everything out in your oil system, wont hurt to have it in for any length of time just change your oil like normal

 

are you insitent on killing your already aged oil control o-rings?

 

There's an oil additive kind, and an in-the-manifold kind.

 

Care to elaborate on that?

 

I used it and it took away the lung mustard but you should really change oil soon after

 

ur lung musted will come back u need to rig up a vaccum filtering sytem to collect the moistyre from the engine

 

Only one type of Seafoam, but you can use it either way. I used some in my Audi's oil and ran it for about 100 miles before I changed the oil. Haven't done this to my 7 though. I don't use the vacuum line method either, since it's not like we have valves to clean out or anything. Just dump some in the gas and take her for a good run, that's how I use it.

 

2 types of seafoam cheif. Engine and tranny. i wouldn't leave it in the oil much more than a few hours. It breakes down the oil too much. and frees up all the gunk in the engine and oil passeges. you want it to break that **** apart then drain the oil and get fresh stuff in there.

They have Seafoam Deep Creap too! I use it to clean the carbon on my outboard motors. Pointless post I know, but its late give me a break.

 

Yes you indeed do, but when you rig one up there is still going to be moisture and the seafoam helps rid it.

 

A quarter tank of gas and One full bottle of Seafoam..Drive the living **** out of it..works like a Charm!..as Kentetsu says,"Drive it like you Stole it!" (my favorite saying!..I Adhere to this..and The car Keeps on suprising me..more,More it says!).I Try to put a bottle in "every other" Oil change.(in the Tank that is.)

 

Seafoam has recently become my favorite additive.

 

I have nothing but great things to say about seafoam. It fixed my buddy's noisy lifters in his isuzu, cleans the carbon out of my outboards, and cleans the carbs too! What more can you ask for!

 

Yea..I used seafoam in my datsun 280. Before it was sluggish and wouldn't even burn out. Now! well thats a differant story, it does its job, let's say that. Although I also did a full tune-up. So that helped also

sea foam has done nothing less than amaze me and everyone i talk into using it. it INSTANTLY reduced the noise coming from my buddies mazdaspeed protege after direct injection. it smoked like a **** and the lady at autozone thought we caught the car on fire

You have to climb to the highest mountian, and yell to the rotor gods and if you are a lucky chosen one, they will drop you a bottle from the heavens!

Or if your an unlucky unchosen chump, you can go like the rest of us to Napa, Autozone, etc etc

 

has anyone ever compared seafoam to amsoil power foam?

 

Seafoam puts out more than 2 products.
Kentetsu was stating that you could use the Seafoam engine stuff either in the oil or injected thru the fuel system via vacuum line.
