i'd much rather have a WRX or STI than a ******* neon... at the end of the day you still have to cope with the disgraceful fact that you are, in fact, driving a neon. i don't care if u think its not a neon cause it doesn't have the same drivetrain, or suspension, it shares the same frame, the same structure, as a neon, its a neon.

I don't disagree with that, I remember seeing a guy once driving a Turbo Yugo. It is like the Escort GT IMHO. You can dress it up but it is still an Escort.

Point is though not to discount these cars. I know people who probably said the same thing about the Nova SS back in 69.

i'd rather have a 350hp rx7 than a 350hp neon any day. hell i'd rather have a 350hp 90 nissan sentra than a neon... i'd love to see a 350hp neon hand a 350hp rx7 its ***... it won't happen, not only because the neon probly weighs plenty more, but also because its got 1 inherent weakness. its FWD.

the srt-4 would pwn the -se. don't believe it go test drive an srt-4. who really cares what the guy thinks about the srt-4. in my opinion regular neons don't deserve respect as fast cars. i pwned a sts neon with slicks at an autox running es on street tires. but the srt-4 is a totally different car and deserves the respect as a fast car. given that they are damn ugly in my opinon they still have my respect. don't turn the 1st gen forum into a gay dick slinging pissing contest like most of the kills section threads turn into.

yes yes yes this little fight is enjoyable it doesn't matter if you like the car or not the fact is the cars a ******* beast. and will shred your car to pieces. who cares if "the window sticker says 220 hp" when did car dealers start telling the truth? ive seen those things put that much power down at the wheels stock and sometimes more(by the way these are hard facts, i have nothing against these cars and im by no means a fan boy). to keep up with your bro you need forced induction.. also while your at it take a ride in your bro's SRT-4... then youll realize. and if he even touched that kit that is supposed to give that car "300" horsepower or whatever the number you said is its game over. Also whoever said a 3rd gen FD would walk a SRT-4 i'm not too sure about that i know the SRT-4's aren't pigs but i think there like 2900 lbs, i donno i think it would be a good race but of course im in favor of the FD!

i do not think that's entirely true..? my friend w/ a BP on a 48 IDA was beating an EVO and couple other turbocharged cars; it even became much terrifying when he switched to his pport motor. when it comes to turboing, it's all based on how much lbs. your pushing and tuning.

i think a large SP w/ a DCOE or IDA will hang a slightly modded SRT-4. a full BP will definitely give a strong chance against a medium modded SRT-4.
