SE vac switch.
I was looking at the vac diagram for my SE, and it is a little unclear where the four vac lines go from the vac switch. I think all four go to the oil injectors, but my memory is failing right now. Any ideas?
thanks,
Mike

I just finished changing all my intake gaskets, and there was a round white thing with 4 vacuum lines going to the oil injectors under the intake. im assuming thats what you are talking about, if it is, then yes, they go to the oil injectors. if thats not what you are talking about, post a picture of it or something and ill take a look under the hood on my car and see where its routed too.
oh the subject of the round white deal, i dont know what those vacuum lines going to the oil injectors do, but i know they were very brittle and became a mandatory delete when they all broke, lol.

Thanks man. I kind of knew that they all when there, just cuz it makes sense, but I wasn't 100% sure. That's odd that your vac switch is white. Mine was black.

maybe it was black, i dont remember. all i remember is that it WAS round and had 4 hoses going to the oil injectors, and it didnt stay round for very long. i removed it and blocked off the vacuum ports. my OMP doesnt work anyways so i figured it was probably safe to remove. any idea what the purpose of the vacuum lines on the oil injectors is?

What you're asking about is the vacuum spider. It links all your four OMP check valves to a single vacuum source, which is one of the four ports on the front side of the plenum, just behind the throttle body. The vacuum switch is buried in the far corner between the cold start and washer bottle, and is only used to go closed-loop on the GSL-SE. Without the vacuum switch, the car will still kill the injectors on hard decel, so it's only used as one of a few inputs that all have to be met for the ECU to go closed loop.

Good info. The vac spider that I am talking about is not located where you say. It just lays between the coolant temp sensor and the TB on top of the engine, at least that's where mine is. It would make sense for it to be there, since its vacuum source comes from the dynamic chamber.
