Ok I tried searching but couldnt find anything that related to my particular situation.

I own an 84' GSL-SE 13b engine of course.
The problem I am having is while driving the car doesnt like to go past 3k rpm. it likes to surge big time and then ill let it drop back down. Everything is fine up until then. Lets say i am driving in second gear, let out the clutch completely and floor it, nothing happens but the rpm's just die down. I have no idea what is going on with the car at all.

The car was previously sitting for about 2 years and I have replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs recently. The mods are a RB racing header and an aftermarket intake system.

There is no air pump either.

And now just recently it has a really hard time starting up. It'll just crank and crank but never really get there. so no i have just had it sitting there and have no clue what to do with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
