SE not driving so good.......Got Noises

Hey

So I had a great drive down to sevenstock 6......our group pissed off a Viper group.........waited an hour and a half to get in...........Had a blast...........My SE is stock
and I hit 100 a few times..........No Chips all the way down.........Radar did not go off once........

The drive home........My son fell asleep....Started noticing some noise in first, second, third and fifth........
and a spinning sound when I put the clutch in........
It got louder all the way home.........Traffic was killer.......

When I got the car the tranny noise was very loud so I put in Red Line and it went away..........same with the lsd........

I did a search and saw the tranny diagram..........I am hoping it is not what I think...............It says Tranny......

Anybody got any suggestions..........?

If it is the tranny..........what am I looking at cost wise.......If its the clutch same thing..........

Any suggestions on the clutch? I will be adding a RB exaust after I get over this problem..........Just going to add a little HP.......

I think its both............It only has 92k on the clock..........

Thanks

Jim

pilot bearing for the clutch?

does any noise start when you have the clutch down, and go away when you release it...

Sounds like the tranny so far. I had one that I bought do the exact same thing, but it was much quieter in 4th gear. The tranny was shot.

Drain the trans fluid. If you see pretty little metalic particals like the kind of paint you would love to see on a Harley you need a trans. Good time for a turbo gear box, If no metal, its probally just a pilot bearing or release bearing problem. Good luck

I'd put money on the pilot bearing. The pilot bearing is only being used when teh clutch is pushed in so it would make sense that thats the issue.

4th gear is direct 1:1 drive which physically makes it the strongest gear...then chances are your tranny is bad. Get one at the junkyard.
For clutches with only an exhaust mod...RB or Centerforce is good.
