SE Intake Manifold question
I should have taken pictures before I took the intake manifold off, but hindsight is a bitch. I have a question as to how this metal bar actually hooks up to the throttle.
I had it hooked up with its mount where it is in the pictures, but its keeping the throttle open to around 3500-4000 rpms, un-hook it and idle is where it should be. I don't even know where it goes to. Can someone help me out with this? Thanks.

the little arm needed to be on the other side. opposite the TPS just lift it up 180 degrees and stick the rod in. than make sure that the bottom end of the rod is in the OPM properly and not binding. last time I put mine back together It was binding, so I dabbed so grease around the end at the OPM where it slides and pivots on the OMP arm.

the arm should pull up on the bar when you open the throttle

Nothing actually gets hooked up to it, but it does have to pass a visual inspection. I will be removing the air pump to get a better look at the OMP. Seems I need to take the crank pulley off and make sure its installed correctly because my timing is screwed atm.

Is there a date when none of it applies anymore. Out here if car is over 25 years old, no more inspections of any kind. I've never taken my pulley, but on my son's S4 the pulley will only go on one way. the four bolt holes are spaced such that only one way works. one position is close but you would have to force it and would bend something. Not sure on S3 SE if the hub is the same.

Got the OMP bar fixed. It dropped down in the lever, just had to wiggle it up to where it belonged. Now I have figure out how to make sure the crank pulley is on correctly.
